Adjikistan is the fictional country that takes place in SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Combined Assault and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2.The country is supposedly situated somewhere in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region of Central Asia and features a number of environment and climate zones, allowing for the game to feature a wide variety of landscapes and settings while working within one large, connected story. Adjikistan recently succeeded from Russia as a Unitary state nation.

Climate and Geography

Most of the country has a mildly cold climate with many evergreen trees and plenty of snowfall as seen in both games. The country has many mountains meaning that the region is somewhat very elevated. Temperatures range from -5 in the winter and probably 12-20 degrees celsius in the summer.

Provinces

Adjikistan has 4 administrative divisions (Provinces). They are:

Lentaduz- This province is located in central to northeastern Adjikistan and is probably the most populated area within the country because 2 key cities are located in the province

Kolarturmek- South of Lentaduz province reaching an area of central to southwestern Adjikistan.

Bergi- The most northern province in the country starting from central Adjikistan, all the way to the north.

Akyarag- East of Bergi province and the easternmost of the provinces.

Cities

Adjikistan has 5 major cities that have been mentioned in the SOCOM games. They are as follows:

Dalahtibar- The captial of Adjikistan and the financial center in the country. No population is estimated but it should be a city with more than 2 million inhabitants. Presidential Headquarters are located in the middle of the city. The downtown area is comprised of a huge Olympic Stadium where concentration camps are located. The city is located in northwestern Lentaduz province.

Yuzmek- This city is known for the country's Industrial center, mainly oil. In the games, it is mentioned that the Paramilitaries were planning to blow up their most successful oil pumping station in Yuzmek which would've caused huge oil prices in the world if the U.S. forces were to stay in Adjikistan. Yuzmek is located south of Lentaduz province and is only a few hundred miles south of Dalahtibar.

Bohrek- Shown in the main menu background as part of Kolarturmek province. Nothing else is mentioned about the city.

Gongurdeya- Southeasternmost rural city near the border of Pakistan. Gongurdeya is home to a large cartel owned poppy field. Gunmen took several civilian hostages and forced them to work the poppy fields.

Kobriaga- Few miles northeast of Gongurdeya. There is a small industrial section in Kobriaga. In the industrial section there was a warehouse with several heroin caches that Fireteam Bravo destroyed.

Ardenya- Easternmost city of Adjikistan near the border of the People's Republic of China. It is mentioned that the Silk Road runs through the city.

Government and Politics

Adjikistan was a Unitary state under the head of Ismail Karim. The country secured it's independence from Russia. As a condition of its independence Karim signed a non-aggression pact. This pact however put the Adjikistani government in jeopardy as many rebel organizaions rose to disturb the new government. A US helicopter was shot down with a captured CIA agent and a fireteam inside it. President Karim insisted that the Rebels had shot the helicopter down.

Notable Occurrances

An CIA agent working undercover in Adjikistan was captured. Fire Team Bravo and Alpha were sent in to recover the agent and was in an extraction helocopter when it was shot down. Fireteam Alpha and Bravo was then sent in to find any evidence of who shot down the helicopter.

Notable Persons in Adjikistan

Hakan Kashka- Controlled aspects of the drug cartel. He was captured in his waterhouse estate in the Akyarag province by fireteam Bravo. Kashka's Cartel was notorious for taking adjiki civilians as slave labor and also kidnapping them as bargining chips.

O'Rourke- Leader of the SHADOW ELEMENT mercenary group. His organization made a trade with the paramilitaries in exchange for drugs he provided the paramilitaries with guns and training. The Paramilitary leader said that the poppy production was having some trouble. O'Rourke insisted he get his part of the deal and started to walk off when the paramilitary leader said "we are fighting for our country something you would not understand" at this point he remembered five years ago when he had fought for the US military in North Africa. He and his partner were under heavy fire needing immediate extraction, this however could no be provided to him as the area was too hot for a helicopter to land. Several enmy soldiers surrounded O'Rourke as he surrendered. Ismail Karim ordered O'Rourke to bring his mercenaries to the rebel held town to eliminate everyone there and burn the city to the ground. O'Rourke was finally captured in a fortified Russian Destroyer Aircraft by Fireteam Bravo.
