Biography
Early Life
Adriana Costa was born in
Bakersfield, Californiato
Mexicanparents,
Guadalupe "Alberto" Jimenez and Adelia Morales. Adriana has
Portugueseancestry
from her paternal great-great grandparents. Adriana also has
Native
Americanancestry from her maternal great-grandfather, Tadeo
Morales Medina who was part of the
Pascua Yaqui
Tribe. Tadeo's tribe is located in both the
United Statesand
Mexico.
Costa lived in
Californiauntil
the age of eight, when her parents seperated. Cities in
Californiain which
Adriana lived in were
Arvinand
Mira Loma. Her mother moved Adriana, sister
Jennifer and brothers Luis and Angel to
Chicago,
Illinoisafter the seperation. Siblings Lidia, Laura, Jr. and
Fernando continued living in
California. After living in
Chicagofor less than four months,
Adelia decide to relocate once again, this time to
Lexington,
Nebraska.
As a child Adriana was an avid movie fan, not
realizing that the films she watched were fiction. She has been
quoted saying, "I never knew they were fake, I just looked at them
as real stories, real people telling what happened in their lives.
I remember the exact moment I found out what an actor was, I was
watching

Liarfor probably the tenth time, I was eight. Suddenly it
all hit me, I saw
Jim
Carreyand then
Ace Ventura, and
Stanley Ipkisscame to mind. Then
Kiefer
Sutherlandalso came to mind. He was no rapist nor vampire, just
an actor. I went out to our frontyard, heartbroken, and cried my
eyes out under our big oak tree."
Career
Adriana's
first screenplay is
Perverts Like Me, which she is
currently writing along with the family film,
Backyard Fairy
Tale. Both films will be on the market in the summer of
2007Her future films incluce
The Priest,
Sorrows of a Mexican Womanand
African Sunrise. Along with screenwriting, Adriana also
writes children's books. Her first series will be
Richie
Gonzalezfollowed by
Millieand
Apples.
Photography is a big part of Costa's life, she
plans on releasing photography collections after her writing career
gets going. She masters in black and white portraits. Adriana has
even come up with a title for her first collection,
Kissing
Tiny Flowers,which she came up with after listening to
Led Zeppelin's
song
That's the Way. She's been noted as
saying, "I'm no photographer or writer, just a
storyteller."
Personal Life
Since her parents
seperation in
1998Costa has
been living in
Lexington, Nebraskawith her mother and
siblings where she is a part time student. Adriana is homeschooled
and attends an internet school called
James
Madison High School. Costa is set to graduate before January
2008. She enjoys reading, tennis, running, and keeping in touch
with her friends.
