For more than 10 years, Aerosoft has been the leading developer and distributor of flightsim related software and hardware as well as software for real pilots and flightschools in Germany and Austria. Since 1991 Aerosoft has developed several high-quality software and hardware products for pilots, trainees and pc-pilots. Since 2001 Aerosoft is also developing software products for train simulation.

At present, 13 employees are working at the Aerosoft headquarter, located at the Airport Paderborn/Lippstadt.
In addition, more than 20 freelance developers are working on new, high quality addons for flight- and train-simulation.


Famous products like the German Airports, the ACPcompact and the FS4 Top-Sceneries have been shipped in all parts of the world.

History:

Aerosoft was founded in 1989 by former Managing Director Bernward Suerman to sell his new examination training programmes for pilots. In 1991 the Ltd. company was established. As early as 1992, the first addons for the Microsoft Flightsimulator 4.0 were released. From 1994 to 1999 several addons for flight simulation were developed, although the main field of the development was pc-supported pilot training software.
Today Aerosoft products are exported in nearly all countries of the world. Aerosoft distributes its products through the main chain stores and department stores in Germany and Austria as well as selling directly to nearly 20000 flight enthusiasts all over the world.

In 2005 the growing sales in North America resulted in the foundation of the branch near London, Canada

Aerosoft cooperates with several institutions and companies, like: AOPA, DFS (flight controllers association), the airport of Frankfurt, LAGO (Italy), Contact Sales (UK), SimWings, Mailsoft (CH), AETI (USA), D. Franzen publishing house, Eurowings AG, Deutsche Bahn AG (German Railroad), Jeppesen Inc., several flightschools and the University of Paderborn.
