Aevex is a registered trademark of Energy Integration Technologies. It is an apparel heating technology that automatically adjusts to the body's needs without the use of electronic controls - delivering more heat to the colder parts of the body and less to the warmer parts. The first commercial products with Aevex were released at the Winter 2008 Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City: Prima and Primovolta gloves from Outdoor Research and the Red Savina glove from Mountain Hardwear which won the 2008/2009 Annual Snowpress Innovation award at the Snowsports Industries America (SIA)show in Las Vegas.[1] Aevex was recognized by "Popular Science" in its annual Top Tech Awards issue as the Best of What's New 2008 in Recreation.[2]

A patent was filed for Aevex in 2005 and was granted in 2008. Associated domestic and international patents are pending.
Aevex consolidates technologies needed to heat a garment into a flexible textile panel. This panel can be integrated into a garment in the same manner as an extra layer of fabric or insulation. Each panel contains stacked film technologies that include a flexible rechargeable energy source, conductive energy release layers (heated zones) and controls. This technology falls under the definition of "Embedded Textiles" which are products that have been embedded with electronic devices, circuitry, sensors and other devices that give the textile smart or intelligent functionality.
Applications for Aevex range from the high-end outdoor sportswear market to industrial and military applications.
