== About Afrikids ==
AfriKids is a Child Rights
Organisation, which works along
indigenous communities in the Upper Eastern
Region of
Ghana to improve
the quality of life for rejected and vulnerable children. The
charity specifically
targets the root causes of the children's problems, by improving
community support services and by providing access to basic
education and
primary
health
care. In addition, AfriKids' work addresses the immediate
problems which include a
poor infrastructure, lack of funds and
restricted access to
essential amenities (such as
water and
electricity) within local
children's homes and street centers.
Donor Comments
"As a present donor and significant potential donor, we are
delighted to have discovered the invaluable contribution which
"AfriKids" are making to the poorest and most deprived communities
in nother-eastern Ghana. The presentations of their organsation and
specific project proposals with meticulously calculated budget
figures are "second-to-none". Their "hands-on" monitoring with
photographs and relevant stories are an accurate testimony of their
crucial work which is turning around the lives of children, women
and families who have been shockingly disadvantaged until AfriKids
came along. With more funding, she could do even more." - anonymous
