AfterX is a friendly
IRC network providing a text based communication medium on an international scale.
Regular users mainly come from Australia, Europe and North America to chat in real time.
Its main network channel, #Afterx is lively with adult humour, and always a good place to start on the AfterX IRC network.
AfterX takes its name from "after Xnet" in June 2005, when it was previously called Xnet.
Xnet no longer exists today as an IRC network, but AfterX carries on the long history and tradition of Xnet, with some users from the "Icenet" days that preceded the Xnet network in 1997.
AfterX provides a range of network services (ie, ChanServ, NickServ, MemoServ and HostServ), and has hostmasking enabled as standard with an option to have an unique identifiable host on request, as well as a number of friendly staff to provide live support, a web-based java chat client and a message board on its website as an alternative way to reach us.
The network servers run on
Unreal IRCd which allows us to provide a range of features as well as flexibility and uses
IRC Services for our services based bots.
