Fuelled by pure emotion and a history of bottled up depression, Age-D and S.S.Klass decide to step in the ring once more to knock out the oppressive evils of this world and all who conform to these. Any expectations you may be comparing these two unharnessed musicians to will not hold in this universe, they are transcendental of anything you've ever heard in your life.

Why this name?

My Name is Adrian Dudek, though people call me Age, so I conjured up the name "Age-D".

Do you play live?

Have sometimes just at school... biggest crowd of about 400 people....

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet being possibly the largest source of advertising can be used as a powerful tool to get your own music listened to and experienced by people anywhere in the world.... I guess we are privelaged to have that opportunity.....

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

As long as I could continue studying. Although I have always believed that my music was transcendental of conventions and ideologies existent in commercial music.

Band History:

Started writing lyrics in year 8. Met S.S.Klass (Sven) in year 10 and we instantly started working together. Up to year 12 at Warwick Senior High School all we ever had done was make songs, so it was time to put our abilities to the test with some equipment and we recorded "The Mechanics Of Reality", our 18 track album.

Your influences?

Our whole life has inspired us and has been the force which pushes us to make music which we believe reflects reality and not simply luxury. Eg. "A child's heart turns cold as he burys his face in his hands/ looking for a reason, but still can't understand/ where he stands in this world, or where he belongs/ his heart longs for that feeling, to know where he's from" (S.S.Klass in War)

Rhode Microphone, Yamaha Multitrack Recorder, Reason 3, Fruity Loops, Audacity, Sound Forge, Keyboard, Paper, Pen, and an understanding of reality.

A BIT OF HISTORY

Age-D's Conundrum

Adrian Dudek and Sven Stankovich, more commonly known as Age-D and S.S.Klass, both attended Warwick Senior High School together from 2002 until they graduated in 2006. Both had always displayed interest in diverse musical concepts since early ages, so it was no wonder that when they teamed up as a rap duo that they were able to create music with such a deep yet fresh sound. Age-D, the lyrical perfectionist who strives to intertwine his life story with words that flow and rhyme, and S.S.Klass, The music theory genius who transforms synthesizers into dream makers. They met each other in year 10 and discovered the musical and lyrical abilities in each other. Age-D had been writing powerful emotional lyrics since halfway through year 8, and Sven had been intellectually involved in music theory since a young age. This congregation of Age-D and S.S.Klass was beneficial to Age-D's conundrum: Age-D had rapped many vocals to a metronome but he had neither the music tools nor knowledge to allow him to fit backing instrumentals. So he gave the vocals to Sven and the rest is history....



We're in a warzone

On Anzac day in 2006, the rap duo performed a song entitled "war", which they had worked on especially for this event as means of commemoration. However, the song had such an emotional impact on the audience (and even bringing a few audience members to tears) that Age-D and S.S.Klass were encouraged to post their song off to the judges of the Australian National Songwriting Contest. This 15000 strong contest looked to hold no place to the anti-commercialism themes of Age-D and S.S.Klass, which is why surprise had erupted when the rap duo had ended up 6th place in the youth section. They were invited to attend the awards ceremony in Sydney, amongst many celebrities, and finally recieved recognition for the maturity and understanding existent in their music.



The Mechanics of Reality

When you are studying for full time tertiary entrance examinations, a rap album is actually quite a difficult task. The hardest part was to prioritize accordingly and properly. But when Age-D and S.S.Klass had finally completed their album, 'The Mechanics of Reality', in October 2006, an air of satisfaction and gratification swept through the air: They had done it!!! But nothing was done with the CD just yet, there was still exams to be done. Two months later (and fifty headaches later), the exams had been done. Age-D added the finishing touches to the CD and it is now ready for purchase and distribution. I urge you to buy this CD and understand that there are still people in this world who will always fight against oppression, they will stand up against ill social conformity and they will not let this world become engulfed by a systematic humanity. Music not through the eyes of a child, music through the eyes of those who love you.
