Santa is the legendary local
football team of
Agia
Paraskevi in
Greece.
It is named after 'Agia' which in
Greek means exactly 'Santa'.
The team
started in mid
1970's as
amateur league and
reached its peak in early
1990's when found itself participating in the 4th Greek
football division.
Santa's greatest achievement, except for
qualifying to the 4th division, was the conquest of
Attica Football
Cup in
1991, after beating
the team of neighbouring-and rival-suberb
Chalandri by 2-1 in the final that took place
in the
Olympic Stadium of Athens.
Noted for its
superior organization skills, Santa plays in stadium having
occupancy for 1,000 spectators, fully covered by grass and enjoys
the powerfull and dynamic support of all the inhabitants of the
suberb. The club also has a talent academy and a children
team.
The colours of Santa are black and white.
