Ahmed Iqbal (August 22, 1930) , is a distinguished writer, playwright and intellectual from Pakistan.
He is regarded by many as the best Urdu fiction writer following the publication of his famous longest story "Shikari".
"Shikari" made him immensely popular among the people in towns and villages.
It was a monthly feature that ran for two decades, the longest monthly digest story in the subcontinent.
