Ahmed Fahmie (born 20 April 1987) is a Singaporean footballer who plays for S.League team, Tampines Rovers FC as a striker.

Early life

Ahmed Fahmie was born and raised in Tampines,Singapore to Jamil Bin Sawi and Laila Binte Azzan Abdat.As a kid he went to Qiaonan Primary School and Pasir Ris Secondary School. In his teens he has won a lot of gold medals in athletics for inter-school competition. He also has a younger brother named Ahmed Fahie Bin Jamil.

Football career

Fahmie started playing for Tampines Rovers FC in the Prime League. Impressive displays earned him a starting place in the AFC Cup away defeat against Osotsapa FC.

In 2005, he played for the Singapore Under-18 side which won the Lion City Cup after defeating Hong Kong Under-18 4-1.

Fahmie was the top-scorer in the Prime League in the 2006 and 2007 season.

He made headlines in the local football fraternity when he took over the number 9 shirt left by Noh Alam Shah who was banned for a seven months following an on-pitch bust up.

Fahmie then announced his arrival in the S.League when he scored a few vital goals for Tampines, most notably, a last minute equaliser against Woodlands Wellington FC.
