Farm Holidays "Ai Due Laghi"- Oasis of nature and history

Easy to reach, located between Ferrara (19 km), Comacchio (28 km) and the Po-delta (35km).In the silence of the countryside of Ferrara, inlayed between two graceful lakes, in an area of historic interest, it offers you an recreative an relaxing holiday, between nature and history.

The structures

Between the clear water of the two lakes are three farm- houses located, built in the 19th century and carefully restored, dedicated for different uses.

The “Casa dei Tigli” consists in six spacious double-rooms, with own bath, separated entrance and the possibility to add another bed, furnished in rustic style, with view over the lakes.

Two spacious apartments for 4 persons, with the possibility to add another bed, own bath, kitchen, 1 double-room, living-room with sleeping- couch and view over the lakes.

The “Vecchio Fienile”, build at the beginning of the 18.century, consists in an reception-angle and the “Bottega dei Sapori”, where it is possible to taste and buy our products.

“L’Osteria” of the “Vecchio Fienile”: a restaurant with regional, for the season typical, self-made specialities.

“Il Salone Del Fienile”: large, suggestive room for relaxing, reading and assisting the various events. Perfect for courses, convents and events.

“La Ca’longa”: room for various events.

Agricamping: in the shadow of a hundred years old linden is an camping-place planed with places for tents and camper, with near sanitation facilities.

Fishing: At both lakes there is the possibility of sport-fishing(catch and release), with carps(6-12 kg) and basses (1-2,5 kg).

Bicycle:

Various cycle tracks for seeing many places of natural and historic interest. Rental inside the Farm Holidays.

Diving:

Possibility to dive into the clear water of the two lakes. Rental and equipment in the closeness.

Swimming:

Soon will be constructed a beach, to make possible the swimming in the clear water of the lakes, or just relaxing at the beach or taking a sun-bath.

Nature:

You can relax in the silence of the landscape of Ferrara, with the reflecting water of the two lakes, between trees and the presence of various animals.

History

The lakes are earlier sandpits, naturalized, in the old river bed of the Po, in an area of ancient settlement of the roman Nekropolis, 40 n.Ch., discovered near the lakes. In 2 km distance, inside a castle, you can admire the finding of the roman Nekropolis.

The Farm Holidays

The farm S.Caterina belongs to the family Slanzi Gamper, originated from the Südtirol, since Sign.Giulio (on the photo), enterpriser in the fruit-branch, together with his sons, acquired the already completely furnished farm. Tanks to the delivered effort and the passion for this work the farm developed further and produces today apples and pears of excellent quality, in respect for the nature. Recently joined the cultivation of vegetables, other kind of fruits, and animal breeding. All guests that come to find us are kindly welcome.

The Farm Holidays and its environment

The Farm Holidays “Ai Due Laghi” is situated near the graceful “Estensa Verginese”. There are many other beautiful places to see, like the Natural Reserve near Portomaggiore, the roman church “S.Vito”, the beautiful “Estense Del Belriguardo” with its archaeologic museum. The near highway makes it possible to reach in few time various cities of art an culture, like Ferrara, Bologna, Ravenna, Venice, Padova and Florence. Comacchio with its beaches and the Po-delta are only 35 km distant.
