Aimee LaPorte (born August 27th, 1976) is an American artist residing in Cambridge, MA. She is best known for her work with screenprinting and unusual iconography.

Biography


Aimee was born in Bennington, VT and attended Alfred University beginning in 1994. While at Alfred, Aimee developed her skills across a wide variety of medium, while beginning to focus on the larger, more iconic paintings she would later be associated with. After graduating, she moved to New York and worked as a window designer for Canal Jeans. In 2002, Aimee began graduate studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. She graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts in 2005. Aimee currently works for the Museum School overseeing the printing department. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband.
