Aiyush

  1. A male given name used in India.
  2. A female given name used in India.

The name Aiyush (also Ayush) comes from a saying in the Hindu epic myth, the Mahabharata. The saying, "Aiyush-Mana Bhavo!" is a blessing used to wish someone a long life, and is found frequently in the Mahabharata.

In Indian Astrology, people given this name have a unique personality, characterized by a mysterious, secretive nature, and the tendency keep their abilities to themselves. They have many secrets and their "true" self is revealed to only a few. They are very opinionated and do not follow the crowd, which can result in them being social outcasts.

Orginially, this was a very rare name, but now, especially since the Indian TV show, "Aiyushman", was released, the name Aiyush has become quite common. There are many variations of this name such as "Ayush", "Piyush", "Piush", etc.
