Akimasa Nihongi (b.
8 August 1983)
is an
actor and
musician from
Tokyo,
Japan. He started his entertainment activities
when he was eleven years old. He was a member of the largest idol
production in Japan named
Johnny`s Production from 1996
through 1998. He started playing the
guitar when he was fourteen. In 1998, he relocated to
Los Angeles, California from Japan.
There he joined an
American progressive rock band called Black Crown, later
named
No Curfew, as
a guitar player when he was sixteen years old, and signed with the
record label
Polydor.
They had a major tour and promotions around the U.S. and Europe.
The band broke up in 2001. Nihongi moved to the east coast of
Tenafly, New Jersey in 2002, where he
formd an ethnic rock duet group named
Gen-so fantasia (GSF)
with
Er-hu player
Jack Hsu, playing
around bars and resturants. In the winter of 2003 he attended
Berklee College of Music in
Boston. He moved back to
Japan and started his musical career as a professional songwriter
in Autumn 2005, working with Ricky, the producer who produced the
Japanese
rap group
m-flo.
