Akmal only recalls his first name Akmal, and never mentions his last name on any song or album. He released his first album in 2009, and he is most famous for his song "Akher Haga Fakerha". Akmal is cosidered to be one of the few Egyptian singers who start singing over 30 years old. And he is also known to be the son of Hassan Yousef and Shams El Barrouri.
