Intro:

Wow-sky.com is a personal website created by the emirati designer, Al-Reem and its first launch has been dated to the 10th of July, 2006 at 03:51:47 p.m.

Simple and anonymous was the starting point of this site. Nevertheless, it took no time to climb the world of creativity and to leave its signature among the names of bright Arab designers with its artistic quality and superior touch.

Identification:

Al-Reem or wow-sky is no longer an anonymous name in the world of design, as it has succeeded to attract large numbers of her art admirers within her site’s borders that highlights her artistic talents in both photography and designing. Her site includes all of her inspiring masterpieces that range in terms of their content. Al-Reem has accomplished many badges during her journey and she participated in a number of activities, as her products have been practically used in Dubai city. She has also given many Photoshop training courses and arranged a number of competitions with money awards to support and encourage the designers and motivate their creativity so that they would take their designing talents with more seriousness. All of these marvelous activities have led her fans to call her the “Poet of digital art”.

The beginning:

In a previous interview with this young talent we heard the story of how she has started her journey about 7 years ago using a software called “Photo Brush”. She moved then to a number of graphic design tools including “Compact Draw”, “PhotoShop” and “Switch” and she is now planning to add one more tool to the list which is “Cinema 4D”. It’s funny to know though that she used to hate the PhotoShop so much that she can’t help but remove it from any PC if she happened to see it.

It’s remarkable also to note that she has walked the first steps of this world on her own, without being enrolled in any training course or institutions to learn the basics of graphic designing. She depended on herself completely to search and learn until she got her own style and special techniques. Al-Reem believes that a successful designer that deserve this name should be educated technologically, which have driven her to learn more about the different graphic design tools to get a strong grasp of this art.

Ambition:

Our talent has the dream of establishing an institution dedicated for graphic designing that take in the Arab designers and give them the opportunity to prove their selves as their valuable abilities have to be employed in our technological era, where graphic designing has turned to be the core of almost every aspect including the mass media, advertisements, shopping markets and even lectures in a way that attracts and gain people’s emotions and acceptance towards any entertaining, educational or even business activities.

Future:

Asking her about the future she is planning concerning her designing journey, she mentioned that it’s an unpredictable matter; nevertheless, she won’t hesitate to participate in any international competitions, taking note that she enrolled twice in such a competition that was held in Abu Dhabi, in her country the United Arab Emirates. She was also called to be interviewed in one of the television channels of Saudi Arabia, but she couldn’t accept the invitation due to her studying matters. Thus, she is optimistic and has a belief that her opportunity to appear in such a fields will come soon.

Last Call:

This is a call she gave and specified to all of the Arab designers to create their own designing style away from imitating others, as graphic designing is an art that must reflect the person’s skills, personality, view and philosophy that differ from the ones the others hold. The Arab designer has to be also proud of his work no matter how simple and small it might be as it’s considered as an achievement, when new skills are learned and new lessons are taught that drive the development journey further and further. Finally, Al-Reem asks the designers to make use of the gift given to them by Allah to please him and to serve the society. It’s very important for the person to reflect his own self from within a photo but it’s even more important to reflect the people around him, view their problems and give their hearts the feeling of joy and happiness.
