Alan Herrmann is a very well-known Mexican cosmetologist in the fashion world. Born on May 14, 1977 in Guadalajara, Mexico Alan started dabbling in the arts as a young child due to his bicultural background. The only son of a Mexican attorney and a German diplomat, he received his primary education from Mexico's Roman Catholic-operated school system prior to relocating to France, and later to the United States. Given a strong upbringing in sports such as swimming, karate, and equestrian riding while in Europe. An extremely gifted artist from an early age, he continued to explore his creative tendencies in high school, and upon completion of his studies, he decided to seek a higher education and opportunities in the world of fashion.

After finishing coursework at both the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and at the University of Barcelona, Alan returned to the United States, settling in New York City. Freelancing for many of the biggest names in the industry including Chanel, Yves St. Laurent, and Armani, his expertise in make-up application won him the admiration of many in his field. Presently he serves as a fashion consultant to many European fashion periodicals. Besides spending considerable amounts of time in Paris, Madrid, and Monaco, he spends most of his leisure time at his palatial estate, Garza Blanca, near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and his summer home in Miami Beach, Florida. In 2007, he plans on opening his first salon in Short Hills, New Jersey that will cater not only to the affluent, but also to those who appreciate the value and importance of human beauty and creativity. In addition, to his salon, he will introduce his first make-up line featuring bronzers, eyeliners, mascara and other cosmetics.
