Alayna Everett performs "You" (2005)
Alayna in Germany (Tour 2005)
Alayna Everett (* December 31980 in London, England) is a British rock singer/songwriter and lead singer of the NuRock group Flagrant.
From an early age Alayna was taught music by her parents and during this time she learned how to play the piano and the violin.
Already at that time she started to compose her own classical pieces which she recorded on paper.
At the age of 6 years the shy Alayna was a member of a children’s choir and at 7 years she for the first time sang on stage.
When Alayna hit the stage, she soaked up the attention and support of the audience.
At that time she knew she loved being up there and that she wanted to entertain.
At eleven, the shy girl started pursuing music seriously and took up playing the violin with lessons until she reached the age of 19.
When Alayna was 18 years old, she completed a master course conducted by Maarit Kirvessalo-Nurmela (1st Violinist of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra) in Lemi, Finland.
Back in England she concentrated on her voice and met with musicians with other musical backgrounds.
In 2001 she joined the NuRock group Flagrant with the debut "The Light" that had the rockscene excited.
Alayna's neo-soul sound and vibe signal the arrival of a major new face on the music scene.
