Albert Kolstee was born on May 6, 1879 in Clymer, New York to Jan Willem te Kolstee and Johanna Geertruida Theodora Hesselink. He lived in Clymer msot of his life where he worked as a farmer. In the 1900 census, at age 21, Albert was a farmer in Clymer, New York and he lived with his widowed mother and younger sister. In 1910, at age 30, he lived with his widowed sister and worked as a Dairy farmer in Clymer, New York. In 1918, Albert was drafted for World War I, but never saw action as the war ended two months after he was drafted. In 1920, at age 40, Albert lived with his sister Jennie and her husband while working as a miller in Sherman, New York.
In about 1926, Albert married Louise Barbara Trump, daughter of Johann Leonhard Trump and Barbara Phiffer. In 1930, at age 50, Albert worked as a dairy farmer in Clymer, New York. Albert was killed in a blast at his farmhome on May 14, 1937 in Clymer, New York. He is buried in Holland Cemetery in Clymer, New York.
