Albert Niland is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist from Galway. Albert spent several years honing his craft in San Francisco in the late 1990s before returning to Ireland.
In 2000 Niland landed a prestigious gig with the Riverdance show as flamenco guitar soloist and toured the world with the Riverdance show over the next 3 years. He also spent several months during this time in Andalucia in Spain perfecting his acclaimed flamenco guitar style.

After leaving the show in 2003 he released his debut Irish CD Dirty Day, to critical acclaim.
In 2004 Albert was invited to perform at the 25 year reunion of legendary band Planxty,in Vicar St, Dublin. Since then he has been invited to guest with the legendary Christy Moore on numerous occasions. He released his second album, Downtown Exit in 2004.

Albert has received widespread airplay from his native Irish radio stations, RTÉ 1, RTÉ 2, TODAY FM, etc, with airplay from BBC's Jools Holland also. He has performed on numerous TV shows. He rose to prominence with his soulful acoustic cover of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights, when he performed it live on Tom Dunne's show Petsounds TODAY FM. It lit a wildfire of radio interest, and the song is still in the top 100 download charts four years later.

In late 2006 he released his first live CD, A Night in Dublin . This was followed by an extensive solo Irish tour along with a series of co-headlining gigs with the legendary Irish singer-songwriter Freddie White
In January 2007, Albert performed at his own sold out show at the "National Concert Hall" in Ireland.
In February 2007 Irish music innovators Moving Hearts asked Niland to perform at their reunion concerts in Dublin.
