Alberto Núñez Feijoo (born September 10, 1961) is a Galician politician. He is the current president of the autonomous community of Galicia (Spain). He is a member of the PP and is an admirer of Manuel Fraga, however he has taken a much more soft handed and liberal stance on Galician politics. He became president after -with controversial support of the powerful Galician right-wing press- ousting the coalition government of socialists and left wing nationalists, after they were marred by unfounded allegations of corruption. He took office on 17 April 2009.
