Aleksandr Teodorosi Myasnikyan (28 January (9 February) 1886 - 22 March 1925) Armenian Bolshevik, leader of Communist Party of Belarus, and Chairman of the Council of Commissairs of Armenia from 1921. After being appointed as a head of government during the early years of the Armenian Soviet Republic, Myasnikyan was instrumantel in the formation of state instititutions and economy of the republic. He is one of the few communist leaders still celebrated in Armenia after the collapse of the Soviet regime. A monument is situated in the center of Yerevan commemorating him. Myasnikyan was killed in a plane crash in 1925.
