Aleksandrovac (Serbian Cyrillic: Александровац) is a town and municipality located in the Rasina District of Serbia. In 2002, the population of the town was 6,476, while population of the municipality was 29,389.



The most popular event is Župska berba {28 September - 1 October every year}.


The town fields several sports teams including basketball and volleyball teams, a handball team that plays in the top division in Serbia and FK Župa Aleksandrovac football team.


Eko klub Željin is non-government ecological organisation.

Notable citizens

Handball player and former Yugoslav and Serbian representative Ivan Lapčević is from Aleksandrovac and he made his first steps in local handball club Župa. Tennis player Ilija Bozoljac was born in the town. Rock musician Vladimir Jakšić was born in Aleksandrovac.
