Alex Bugeja is a technical consultant to the semiconductor industry
and has worked for
a number of fabless IC companies, venture
capital firms investing in semiconductor
companies, and private
equity funds active in this sector. Prior to his consulting
work,
he also founded Engim, a wireless LAN chipset company based in
Boston,
Massachusetts.
Dr.
Bugeja received the BEng degree from the
University of
Malta, the SM degree from
Harvard University, and the PhD
degree from the
University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,
all in
Electrical
Engineering. Prior to starting Engim, he worked for
Texas
Instruments in
Dallas,
Texas,
developing mixed-signal integrated circuits for demanding
applications in 3G
cellular communications. He has published
several papers regarding high performance digital,
analog, and
mixed-signal IC design and is the holder of 10 US patents.
