Alexander Draper "Alex" Wolff (born November 1, 1997) is an American child actor and musician best known for his role as himself on the Nickelodeon series The Naked Brothers Band, also starring his older brother, Nat Wolff; the series was created by the boys' mother, Polly Draper.

Career

Alex Wolff is best known for his starring role as himself in The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie and The Naked Brothers Band on Nickelodeon. The film and television show are comically based on his and his older brother Nat Wolff's life and in the band of the same name, which they co-founded.

He is the band's drummer, but he also writes and sings songs such as "That's How It Is", "I Could Be", "Three is Enough", "Changing", "Alien Clones", "Why", "All I Needed", "Blueberry Cotton", and "Jesse". He also had a short role in Fall Out Boy's video "The Take Over, The Break's Over", playing a young Pete Wentz. Alex is known for his milk ads on the show; in The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie, his character passed out from drinking lemon-lime soda and took up milk instead. He learned how to play the drums by watching videos of Ringo Starr of The Beatles.

When asked how it was to work with his mother, Alex responded:^[1] "It's good. It's better than working with anyone else. She's your mom; she's not an authority. You don't have to behave."

He also had a guest starring role in an episode of the USA Network show Monk, as a beneficiary of a police-sponsored youth outreach program.^{[citation needed]}

Personal life

He is the son of actress and screenwriter Polly Draper and jazz pianist and composer Michael Wolff and is the younger brother of singer-songwriter, keyboardist, and actor Nat Wolff. His family is culturally Jewish.^[2] Alex got his middle name from his mother's maiden name of Draper.
