Occupation Television actress

Alexandra "Lexi" or "Lexie" Dreyfus (born April 7, 1986 in Los Angeles, California[1]) is an American actress, singer, and Video Blogger. She is best known for her work portraying the main character of Sarah Genatiempo in the Internet series lonelygirl15 and its spinoff LG15: The Resistance.

Career

Dreyfus began singing at the age of four, which led her to the Southern California Children's Choir. While there, she auditioned for and was cast as a soloist at the Orange County Performing Arts Theatre.[1] She attended the Santa Barbara City College, where she acted in the school's production of The Physicists.[2]

Dreyfus joined lonelygirl15 in April 2007 as Sarah, who has been called one of the "most notable" new characters of the show.[3] She received the part after a friend recommended her to Miles Beckett and she auditioned for the role. She had not heard of lonelygirl15 before that time.[4] Dreyfus describes Sarah as "that 18-year-old everyone knew... selfish and self-absorbed, but so is every 18-year-old. She also wants to do the right thing."

She is one of only two actors from the original lonelygirl15 series to appear in its sequel, LG15: The Resistance. The other actor is Jackson Davis.[5] She is the only actress throughout the series to interact with fans in a live, in-person event, which took place in Boston.[6]

She portrays Sasha in the third series of the interactive UK television show, Dubplate Drama[7]. She also starred in a psychological-thriller feature called Copy, Credit, Meals Provided which was screened by Lion's Gate, among others. The movie was the first full-length feature that she starred in.[4]

Aside from acting, Dreyfus is currently working on music for her forthcoming debut record.[8] Her influences include Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Tina Dico, and Ani DiFranco.

Dreyfus currently uses her celebrity to speak out against overly-skinny girls in Hollywood.[9]
