Algos (Ancient Greek: Ἄλγος) is used by Hesiod in the plural as the personification of sorrows and griefs, which are there represented as the daughters of Eris, Greek goddess of strife.[1][2] Algos in Greek is a neuter noun literally meaning "pain". She or he was a sibling to Lethe, Limos, Horcus, and Ponos.[3]
