Ali Ettehad is an Iranian Art Critic and Artist. He was born in 1983 in Sari. He studied cinema in Art university of Tehran. He also studied middle Persian language (Pahlavi language) in literature department of Tehran university and Neyshabour Persian study foundation. He works in different fields of Art; photography, video art, performance and installation. He writes in different art magazines in Iran; such as "Tandis" magazine, "herfeh-honarmand", "Khiyal" (The Quarterly Periodical of the Iranian Academy of the Arts). He was the curator of "AutoPortraits" exhibition in "Azad Art gallery" in Tehran. It was a historical review on contemporary self-portraits of Iranian artists; which followed by a lecture by Hamid Severi (the Iranian art critic and researcher).
His works are usually based on Persian language and Persian ancient
culture. He has several series with this theme; such as
"Degeneration", "Oblivion", "Fading Mithr" and "Confidence". The
last one has been showed in several exhibitions around the
world.
