Alicia Miguel (On phone) caught by a gettyimages photographer.
Alicia Miguel (born Alicia Flores Miguel; February 18, 1971 in Morelos) is a Mexican actress, model and businesswoman.
She is often confused to Italian businesswoman Alicia Miguiel.
Mexican actress Yadira Carrillo.
Her amazingly similar appearance with Ninel Conde has set rumors of a "double life".
Alicia Miguel went to an exquisite private school located at 2800 E 4th Street, National City, CA 91950.
San Diego Academy was one of the most expensive and most prestigious high schools in California, back when Miguel was studying.
Unfortunately Miguel dropped out in her sophomore year to pursue her dream of becoming a model, at the age of only 16.
After her decision of dropping out she had encountered many problems with her mother Zenaida Flores, and her father Juan Miguel Ortiz.
Miguel comes from one of the important families in Spain, well from her mothers’ side anyways.
To Zenaida modeling wasn’t a career fitted to her class level.
Alicia ignored the odds against her and went on following her dreams.
This was hard especially since she was a minor, not many agents were actually willing to work with one of the daughters of Zenaida and Juan without their consent.
When Alicia reached the age of 18, she was already a model and had done a little of acting.
On September 1989, Alicia entered a modeling contest and to her dismay she won, and now with the support of her sisters she went into the modeling industry.
This success came to an end when the president of Colombia; César Gaviria Trujillo wanted to have an affair with Miguel.
He made a publishing on a weekly periodical, saying blasphemies about her.
Her rejection towards him had a huge consequence against her beginning career.
Alicia’s career slowly decreased.
Then her modeling career went completely down after she found out about her pregnancy.
After her son was born she was obligated to live with her mother and becoming her dependent.
Sadly three years Zenaida died of a stroke and for legal reasons her money went towards the government.
Alicia then had to learn the meaning of “Work”, she had no high school diploma which left her with little job possibilities.
Her three year old son Daniel needed lots of health care so Alicia was unable to apply back into modeling.
Miguel then moved to North Carolina and began working as a housekeeper, this was especially hard for Alicia, and she had never done housework before.
This caused controversy in Spain which lead weekly newspapers publish an article saying “The prestigious Flores-Miguel family has gone broke and lost their class.” Alicia ignores this and keeps trying to move along with her son and boyfriend.
In less than a year a friendship between her and Jill Gilstrap Clodfelter, her boss began.
Starting the creation of ZUMI Services incorporated (Zuniga-Miguel).
JAP Corporation (Jill, Alicia, and Peggy).
ZUMI Services was decided to be established in Ontario, Canada offering cleaning supplies and services to the community of both public and private parties.
Meanwhile JAP, established in the USA was handed to the administration and management of Alicia, active years were 1996-2004 which brought approximately $USD 37 million. Despite of Alicia’s failure in modeling she still appeared in many magazines including MAX, LordJones, FHM, Extremo, and H!
(Alicia Miguel at a Latin Awards festival in Florida) Today there are still many questions of this beautiful and successful woman.
Some which include her current assets (net worth) and how she got this money, questions that have obtained many rumors.
The most current rumor of her wealth is that Mrs. Miguel is involved in an organization of advance science and scientific studies that include embryonic cell study and genetic splicing.
The rumor was that Miguel had contributed with a group of scientists all over the world and formed an organization named S.S.S (Secret Scientist Society); this ridiculous rumor was set with no foundation.
Other rumors include the use and distribution of illegal drugs in both medical and non-medical fields.
In a special interview in Vèneto, Italy Alicia was asked how much her wealth was, she responded “I don’t think that is an important detail, I’m not in a competition to see who’s richer than whom.
I think Forbes is dumb in making ‘The Top Richest People in the World’ list.
I am pretty curtain that there are many people that have more money than some of the listed individuals.” In addition to all of this Mrs. Alicia verified that ZUMI Services is in fact divided into 2 equal parts.
Half of the revenue is owned by Teresa Zuniga, Miguel’s cousin.
Alicia Miguel was on the verge of being killed on a plane accident when leaving Costa Rica.
In the interview she was asked if she will take in consideration of using her private jets more often than public planes.
She said it would make no difference; accidents do happen in various ways.
Although Alicia isn’t a celebrity or known entrepreneur she still leaves many questions and mysteries, these which may never be answered.
Many newspapers describe her as a woman that fought against all odds to get where she wanted, theses including her family believes, presidential rejections, and rumors crushing her career/s.
