salafism since the
group has its roots only as far back as to the time period of
Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab. Even
though the salafi's do often use the works of Ibn Taymiyyah and
consider him to be a revered person. Still many consider Ibn
Taymiyyah to be the originator of the Salafi school of
thought(madhab).
