Allan J. Kayser II (born December 18, 1963) is an American film and TV actor.

Kayser was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, attending Columbine High School from 1978-1982. In high school, he participated in baseball and wrestling, and was a drummer in several rock bands.

Kayser entered acting and moved to Los Angeles, California shortly after graduating. He was a part of several motion pictures in the 1980s, including Night of the Creeps. However, Kayser is perhaps best known for starring in 102 episodes of the American television sitcom Mama's Family from 1986-1990, making him a teen idol in the 1980s. In 1989, Kayser was nominated for a Young Artist Award as Best Young Actor Guest Starring in a Drama or Comedy Series for his part in Mama's Family.

Kayser retired from acting in the early nineties to settle down with his wife Lori and at the time their only child. During this time, he moved to Warrensburg, Missouri, where he attended Central Missouri State University. Also during these years, Kayser operated a dance academy in Warrensburg with his wife for several years.[1]

In 2000, shortly before divorcing his wife, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he returned to acting and played a minor role in the Disney Channel movie Double Teamed. Shortly thereafter, he returned to Los Angeles to try to reignite his career, but was unable to find work, so he moved to Sharpsburg, GA in the mid- 2000's to raise his children. While in Kansas City, Kayser's Acting career has been in a kind of pseudo-retirement, as he is not voluntarily seeking work, but has had a starring role in "Shimmer," an independent project by the aspiring director Andrew Robinson, and played a minor role in All Roads Lead Home, which opened in theaters on September 26, 2008.

His talent resume lists him as an avid marksman with handguns, shotguns and rifles. Proficient in aikido, wrestling, baseball, cycling, motorcycling, and weight training. He is also a drummer/percussionist and an accomplished bartender.
