Allender Steele Adams, known as Allen Adams, (16 February 1946 – 5 September 1990), was a British Labour politician.

Adams was born in Glasgow. He married Irene on 24 February 1968.[1]

Adams, a Strathclyde Regional Councillor, was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Paisley from 1979 to 1983, then for Paisley North from 1983 until his death in 1990 at the age of 44. He had served as an Opposition whip whilst an MP. In the by-election that followed his death, his widow, Irene Adams (who had succeeded him on the Strathclyde Council and served as his secretary while he was MP), was elected MP for Paisley North.
