Alliance is heavy metal / hard rock group from Helsinki, Finland. They released two EP's and one single during the active years 1999-2004.
Their music was often described to sound like Iron Maiden. However, this was possible due to vocal range of singer Tomi Viiltola. He sounded a bit like Bruce Dickinson.
Musically Alliance were closer to 1980s American acts such as Leatherwolf, Ratt, Vicious Rumors and even Stryper, minus the ballads and the faith.




The band's debut release In Control got some positive feedback from the fans of 1980s metal genre. The follow-up single Sleep With One Eye Open turned out to be Alliance's biggest hit and the title track stole the peak positions in various internet music promotion pages such as Mp3lizard.com.
The final release Winds of Fire failed to achieve the success of its predecessors and the group decided to call it a day soon after that.

The singer Tomi Viiltola pursued a solo career with a band called Viilto. Their finnish-sung metal is performed in the style of Kilpi, very popular finnish heavy metal band from Turku.
