Alliance arkitekter is a young Norwegian architect office based in Oslo. The firm was founded by architect Harald Martin Gjovaag (HMG) in 2005. HMG was formerly co-founder of Element arkitekter and was chosen to participate in the "20 under 40" exibishion in 2004, arranged by the norwegian architectural museum (NAM), presenting young norwegian architects. Alliance arkitekter have especially designed and developed new approches to large housing complexes in both Bergen and Stavanger besides Oslo, as with various designs for industrial and commercial buildings in the southern Norway. Alliance arkitekters vision reflects on a conceptual and physical approach to new designs in order to create- and strengthening the ties between private and public urban space. Working with a high degree of transformations, implementing new programmatically and aesthetically concepts to formerly industrial areas, Alliance arkitekter continue on their contribution to the new scandinavian architecture.
