Early Life

Amber Adriana Helena Rives(Model,Actress,Singer/Songwriter)born 19 April 1988 or 1989 in Seville,Spain.Born to a Spanish/Puerto Rican mother Jesenia and an Irish father Alex of Cuban descent.At the age of 6 the family moved to Ireland.In 2003 Jesenia gave birth to another baby girl named Gabriella.

Career

In 2000 while on holiday in her native Spain,Amber was spotted by a talent scout from the Irene Marie Modeling Ageny in Miami who flew her&her mother back to Miami where the 12-year-old agreed a contract.She began modeling for the agency at the age of 15.Just one year later she became the youngest model ever to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated,later appearing on covers of Teen Vogue,Seventeen Magazine&Ocean Drive.By the end of 2004 the model had the opportunity to become the world's youngest ever supermodel when offered a deal reportedly worth $14million,but the starlet rejected opting to remain loyal to her agency.In 2007 the stunning beauty was named no.4 on the 50 Most Beautiful.She is currently focused on music working with Usher Raymond,Robin Thicke,T-Pain,Michael Jackson and Beyonce Knowles on upcoming projects.

Charity

Rives gives the majority of her income to various charities including Breast Cancer Awareness,World Wildlife Foundation,Hurricane Katrina Fund and is a major donater to the clean-up of Ground Zero and re-building in Manhattan.In 2007 alone after earning around $30million,it is reported that she donated more than 60% to various charities.

Tragedy

In 2001 tragedy struck the young star as close friend Aaliyah Haughton was killed in a plane crash in late August after finishing filming the music video for 'Rock The Boat'.Three weeks later while visiting Aaliyah's grave in New York City 13 year-old Amber witnessed the shocking events of 9/11.8 months to the day after Aaliyah's death tragedy struck again as Lisa'Left Eye'Lopes died in a car accident in Honduras.In late 2007 she returned to Ireland after visiting her new born godson Usher Raymond V,and learned fellow model Katy French was in hospital and sadly passed away a week later.

Acting

The model has also tried her hand at acting landing roles in How I Met Your Mother,CSI:Miami,CSI:Las Vegas,Veronica Mars&Las Vegas.She has also appeared in music videos for Bobby V,Justin Timberlake and Tracy Byrd.

Music

Early life and career

Amber Rives was born in Seville, Spain, to a Spanish, Puerto Rican mother and an Irish father of Cuban descent. When Amber was 6 her family moved to Ireland. At the age of 11, she was spotted by a talent scout from Irene Marie Models in Miami, Florida while on holiday and was signed straight away. She did not formally begin modeling until age 15.^[1]

Rives has written songs for Usher,including recent #1 hit "Love In This Club",Mario,including "Crying Out For Me," Leona Lewis,including "Bleeding Love" and "Better In Time",Rihanna,including #1 single "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z,Chris Brown,including "With You" and "Forever",Christina Milian "Us Against The World".

Personal Life

Rives has been romantically linked with R&B superstar Mario several times.They were recently seen leaving Jay-Z's 40/40 club in New York City which sparked rumors that they are back together after dating briefly in 2007.^[7][8] However during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,the supermodel denied that the pair are back together,and stated that they are simply "very good friends".^[9] She is currently living with fellow fashion model and close friend Tyra Banks in Manhattan,New York City.^[10][11][12]
