== History

The first AmericInn opened its doors in the early 1980’s. By 1990 there were more than 20 AmericInn properties located in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Through AmericInn’s rapid growth, the organization currently has over 230 locations with numerous development projections planned for the years ahead.

Hotel Details

AmericInn properties are popular with today’s business and leisure travelers because of spacious, well-appointed public areas and guest rooms. All AmericInn properties include a spacious recreation area with pool and whirlpool, oversized guest rooms, private whirlpool, fireplace and two-room suites, queen and king size beds. A two-story lobby highlights the
cozy conversation area in front of a grand fireplace. The AmericInn Perk breakfast area provides guests with a complimentary hot breakfast in a cafe like environment.

Franchising

All AmericInn hotels are franchised to independent operators and companies. As a franchise partner, the company leverages its experience in the hotel industry to maximize each franchisee’s properties performance. Starting from pre-opening to successful operation, each franchisee is provided with ongoing management training, sales staff training, annual workshops, guest relations services, marketing support and accounting services.

AmericInn SoundGuard™ Construction

The success and growth of the AmericInn Lodging system is due to its unique product, AmericInn SoundGuard™ construction, which reduces sound by using masonry block, sound deadening foam and heavy drywall between rooms. Concrete slabs separate floors to cut down on noise even more. Insulated windows, ceilings and corridor walls, as well as solid guest room doors, thresholds, gaskets and door sweeps, minimize noise from public spaces within the hotel.

In 2007, AmericInn kicked off the Your Noisy Neighbor competition, an online contest that encouraged travelers to submit bizarre and humorous tales of noisy, unruly and disturbing hotel tales. The contest was designed to support the AmericInn brand position of providing a “Quiet Hotel” experience for it’s guests, and was featured in articles found in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and The New York Times.1

According to a 2007 JD Power and Associates survey that looked at complaints hotel guests have, noise tops the list. 2
