Access Control applications.
It is one of the few privately held controls manufacturing companies in the world today.
It is also the only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Women Owned Business (SDVOSB/WOB) controls manufacturer in the world.
American Auto-Matrix is a member of multiple organizations including the

History
American Auto-Matrix originated in
Pittsburgh, PA in 1979 as a custom engineering and consulting group called Innovative Technology, where they started out manufacturing specialty electronics for European customers.
In 1982 they became American Auto-Matrix, Inc.
Where they pioneered the world’s first facilities automation system called the AI2100 Building Brain.
It offered an open protocol, generation to generation compatibility, distributed intelligence, direct digital control and object oriented program.
In 2002 a group of private investors, Jordan Acquisition Group, LLC, purchased American Auto-Matrix; officially becoming a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Women Owned Business (SDVOSB/WOB) in 2006.<ref>

Since the acquisition American Auto-Matrix has extended its domestic as well as international presence through continued efforts in product development, sales and marketing.
Most recently the company has entered into discussions with Integrated Technologies, LLC, where CNA<ref>
CNA Profile</ref> intends to acquire a 26% stake of the company with an option to increase their share hold up to 45.5% in the future.
The majority stake will still continue to be held by Jordan Acquisition Group, LLC.
Products
American Auto-Matrix carries a complete line of DDC<ref>
DDC Online </ref> (
Direct Digital Control), products for commercial, industrial, and high-end residential applications.
Currently they manufacture controllers that are applicable to
HVAC, Critical Environments, and
Access Control.
Their HVAC line of controllers is available in the American Auto-Matrix proprietary protocol or in Native BACnet.
In the Critical Environments market they offer Auto-Flow, a
fume hood controller with peripherals for either sash area calculation methodology or real-time face velocity measurement.
Their line of Access Control is called Controlsoft KeyMaster.<ref>

Many of American Auto-Matrix’s products provide ways to achieve points for LEED (
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification in the categories of Indoor Air Quality, and
Green Buildings.
