American Gangster Commission (AGC)

The American Gangster Commission, or the "AGC", is a progressive, New York City based, social movement that operates under the direction of the, now vindicated, American Gangster, Frank Lucas.

Mr. Lucas has been labeled as a "real life 70's Harlem Kingpin." Additionally, Mr. Lucas' life story is the basis of the Universal Studios/Imagine Entertainment Motion Picture "American Gangster", written by Steve Zaillian and directed by Ridley Scott. The film stars Denzel Washington, Rustle Crowe, T.I., Common and the RZA. Still, this film is not the only picture dedicated to the story of Mr. Lucas. Another film has been based on Lucas' life story and named after his well-known street name during his "Gangster days." Superfly says he created "The Commission", primarily, to "validate and authenticate the upcoming endeavors of future generations."

His son, Frank Lucas Jr., better known as F. Dot, sits as the second in command on the AG Commission board of directors, which is comprised of his father (Frank Lucas Sr.), "Uncle" Ray Copeland, executive producer of Jet Lees' unleashed and manager of multi-platinum recording artist DMX. Gene Regusso "the Super Producer" and A&R Mark Cheetam has made vital contributions to the NEW efforts of the AGC and the Lucas legacy.

In addition to F. Dot's position on the board of directors of the Commission, Frank Lucas Jr. is also the founder of a Nine-member group that has committed to telling the "true" story of the Lucas family, in addition to continuing the efforts of the advancement of Hip Hop, via the AGC.

Aside from being on the set of the filming of the American Gangster movie, AGC made their debut onto the entertainment scene on September 2, 2006 at NYC's Club Deep, which was arranged by NYC promoter JT, who handles all of the groups public appearances to date.

On July 7, 2007, one of the members of AGC, Hip Hop Hall of Fame inductee, Rahim from Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, performed and Delivered a speech at the Urban Music Awards. The UMA's was hosted by Foxy Brown, Spragga Benz and included a special performance by Chubb Rock. In addition to his role as an internationally acclaimed entertainer, Rahim also sits on the board of the Commission next to the Lucas family.

Another member of the AGC family, Executive Producer/Engineer, Christopher A. Gittens, better known as Cue Trax, also takes on a dual role as a commission board member and artist. Cue has written for XXL's Scratch Magazine summer of 2007 issue and has worked with multi-platinum recording artist Pras from the Fugees, Robert Clivilles and Wu-tang.

Other members of the AGC like DJ AK and DJ Trick Zamboo are also active participants in other progressive socio political movements such as THE UNIVERSAL ZULU NATION, an "international hip hop awareness" group formed and headed by hip hop godfather Afrika Bambaataa.

CD Vol. 1 is the title of the first CD of a Box Set, which the AGC has scheduled for release on the same day that his father's movie drops on November 2, 2007. CD Vol. 1 includes videos, behind the scene footage, and will have many special guest appearances. It tells the "true-life-story" of Frank Lucas and his Legacy.
