The American Society for Nutrition is the principal United States society for professional researchers and practitioners in the field of nutrition, publishing two of the leading journals in the field. It also publishes the more recent American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, first published in 1952. This journal has an impact factor of 6.6[2], making it the 1st among peer-reviewed journals in ISI's nutrition and dietetic category.
