Americans for Religious Liberty (ARL) is an American legal organisation which focuses on maintaining and ensuring the separation of Church and State in the United States.

It was founded in 1982 by the merger of the Voice of Reason and the Center for Moral Democracy. The Voice of Reason had been founded in Michigan a year earlier by Sherwin T. Wine, Lynne Silverberg-Master et al whilst the Center for Moral Democracy had been founded around the same time in New York by Edward L. Ericson, leader of the New York Society for Ethical Culture, the Rev. Bruce Southworth, et al.

ARL has links to humanism and has a pro-choice stance on abortion.
