Amigoster or Amigoster.com (pronounced ah-me-go-ster) is a social network service that is mainly geared towards the online generation of Hispanic decent living in the United States. Amigoster was founded in Pico Rivera, California by Jorge Zamora in 2003.<ref> Profile of Jorge Zamora on www.amigoster.com, accessed online 5-12-2007</ref> Amigoster.com's members are mostly of Hispanic decent, but it also has many non-Hispanic black, white, and Asian members.

Features

Profile components
Once a user has registered an account, they edit and maintain their own profile page using online forms. The top of a user's profile contains information about the user, which would typically include their name, a customizable profile image (often a photo of the user), and some miscellaneous information under various headings.

Other capabilities Profiles are capable of including a comment section where other users can leave a message, and a list of the user's friends, slide-shows of images uploaded transition effect applied by the user, photo albums, blogs with a comments section for others' responses.

Customization The user is also allowed a variety of tools to customize their experience on amigoster.com. The overall look of the website
can be skinned with 6 different color schemes that are retained througout the website. They are also allowed to customize their profile with html or with a in house profile generator that does most of the coding for them.
