The AMX-5120, a product of Avocent, is an end-user KVM switch user station that is used in conjuction with
an AMX-5010. The AMX-5120 provides end-user KVM access to servers,
workstations, routers, etc. that are plugged into the same AMX-5010
KVM switch. The 5XXX series of Avocent KVM switching solutions uses UTP (cat-5 or
better) to connect workstations and servers as well as 5120
end-user stations to the master switch (AMX-5010). The 5120 uses
Avocent's proprietary
OSCAR software interface, which allows for user login, and machine
selection.
