Amy Hunt (
May 1,
1990, in
Lexington, KY) is a teenage American writer.
She currently attends
Henry Clay High School and plans to graduate in the spring of 2008.
RED
Her essay about
body image, entitled "Sleeves", was published in
November 2007 in
RED: The Next Generation of American Writers — Teenage Girls — On What Fires Up Their Lives Today.

Saskia Boggs is also published in the book with an essay about
television.
Like the other RED authors, Amy now hosts a
blog on the website.
She is currently has a novel in the works.
Music
Hunt is also part of two musical groups: The Wands, a
wizard rock band started in the fall of
2005, and The Literatures, a book rock band started in the spring of
2006.
The Literatures have since released two CDs:
I Wish I Had A Salad Named After Me! and
Songs for the Literate and Illiterate.
They have played in the
Accio Wrock! concert series at the
Lexington Public Library, as well as at Undergrounds, the concert fundraiser hosted annually by the HCHS
literary magazine (of which Hunt is an
editor).
