the Turkish author Mehmet Murat
İldan, first staged (in Turkish) in July 2006 by "Mesopotamia Culture and Art
Society Theatre Group" in Batman, in the Eastern Turkey.
It
takes place in a small village in Turkey. It is about a deputy
candidate running an election campaign and his efforts to deceive
and manipulate good-hearted villagers for getting their votes. This
comedy is a critique of Machiavellianism.
