He was an average student academically during his school years. He had a very keen interest in philosophy, universe, life cycle and spirituality from his early childhood days.
He always thought deeply about life and humankind role in planet earth and always thought about infinite universe and stars beyond it. He could not stop thinking so he wanted to explore to universe. When he was in grade/year 7, he started reading astronomy books and developed interest in night sky due to unavailability of public telescope in Nepal. He spent observing night sky with binoculars for several years before he opened the first astronomical club Astronomical Society of Nepal (TASON) of its kind in Nepal in year 2000 with help from his friends and neighbor.
He received a scholarship to attend Advanced Astronomy Camp in University of Arizona, Tucson in June 2002 where he got an opportunity to spend a week by observing celestial objects under a dark sky using a 12-inch Meade LX-200 telescope, the 40-inch and 60-inch telescopes, on Mt. He established his club office in S.M College in Dillibazar as the college provided free storage and office to the astronomical society of Nepal. The telescope is situated in S.M college premises and astronomical observing programs are organized in conjunction with college.

He once said that “astronomy is imagination in dream but engineering is imagination in reality”. He wanted to contribute something to the realistic world where millions of people are deprived of clean drinking water, basic necessities and felt the need to contribute in some way or the other.
