Ananya Curves is a Computer Graphics software application used for drawing and tracing curves. Unlike in most such programs, all of the control points may be chosen directly on the curve. This simplifies the process of drawing and tracing. It also makes the process easier to learn, and cuts down on the amount of reworking of the drawing that is necessary.

Another new feature is that Ananya Curves includes other curve types like conics, circular arcs, and freeform curves that can be used interchangeably with the standard curves. It is also easy to insert straight lines as part of a drawing. These curves are seamlessly converted into Photoshop Bezier curves when they are used in Photoshop.

The first product will be an Adobe Photoshop plugin, which will become available this spring, 2006. After that more plug-ins will become available for different applications including Adobe Illustrator and Macromedia Flash.

Ananya Curves will run on both the Mac and the PC. It will run on Adobe Photoshop versions CS2, CS, and 7. The price will be revealed when the product is released. The authors may be contacted at info@ananya.com for a preview demonstration. The manual is to be posted soon.
