Andrew is flying!
Early in his life, Andrew's parents thought a move would be
wise, and their jobs as top IBM executives dictated a move to
beautiful Tampa Florida.
There, for the first years of his
education (K-8th grade), Andrew attended Saint Mary's Episcopal Day
School. During the summers he attended Camp Rockmont for Boys in
Black Mountain (just Northeast of Asheville) North Carolina. It was
here that he met lifelong friend, Jonathan Kemp Litchford, or JJ
Litchford.
Around Andrew's 11th birthday, the Johnson's
welcomed their second boy, Samuel, into the family. Always a sourse
of laughter and joy, Sam has enriched the life of Andrew. They have
an extrordinary relationship and friendship. Although Sam and
Andrew are seperated by 11 years, they have grown very close
recently. Andrew really misses his little buddy, Sam. <ref>

Not to be left out, Sam and Andrew shared the same
nanny, Sandra. Though not genetically related to the Johnsons in
any way, Sandra is viewed by them as a Grandmother. She is at the
Johnson residence virtually everyday and is a very important part
in the functioning of the household. She is adored by Samuel as
well as by Andrew and has had an integral role in their rearings.
After graduation from SMEDs with honors, Andrew left to attend
Berkeley Preparatory School. BPS, for short, is widely known in
Tampa as a top academic center for learning. Andrew participated in
numerous activited here, including but not limited to Vice
President of Student Forum, Co-President of the Ping Pong Club,
Math Club Officer, Vasity Tennis, and Varsity Swimming. <ref>

from Berkeley with a Cum Laude designation-- a high honor awarded
to only 10 students a year. <ref> Ganti, Kalpana. Personal

Andrew had a great deal of
social success at BPS. He made friends easily, including the likes
of Nichole Lee, Laura Alexander (who he actually met at SMEDs),
Kalpana Ganti, Dana Turker, Jori Kaplan, Madeline Snyder, Katy
Orobello and his favorites, the Math Club Kids (Michael Farthing,
Ben Kolodner, Andrew Cutler, Aman Dhaliwal, Frank King, Brian
Batas, Jon Hahn, Jessica Lacy, etc).

With great excitment, Andrew was accepted into the Univeristy
of Virginia, and even more exclusively, the Brown College at Monroe
Hill. This College within the University requires a second,
infamous application and has a very selective process in order to
obtain residence their. Benefits of the College include unique
course offerings, a confined social environment and single dorm
rooms with air conditioning and a fire place.
Andrew enjoyed an
incredible summer beofre her left for UVa. He spent time in Montana
(3 weeks) with his extended family, including his cousin, Torrey
Warren, who attends UVa with him as a third year in the School of
Architecture. He also went to Math Nationals in Colorado for 10
days with Berekeley Prep's Math Club. This was his swansong with
good ol' BPS. Other than that, Andrew enjoyed going to the beach
with friends and hanging out. He also had a part-time job at a
Saint Mary's summer day camp, giving back to the school from which
he received so much knowledge and support.
Currently, Andrew is taking 17 credit hours at UVA and is torn
about his major. He loves English and Math and is thinking about a
possible Double major. Whatever he does at UVA he would like to go
to Medical School immediately after. He is involved in Club
Swimming and has just enrolled in Intermediate Hip Hop Classes.

Luckily for Andrew, his good friend JJ (previously
mentioned) is attending the University with him. JJ is involved in
various activites such as Cleaning Andrew's Room, and Wikipedia
Biography-ing him. The two are getting along swell!

Andrew Johnson
is also known as Helen Keller. Not because he's dumb, blind and
mute - although he does convincingly act so sometimes - but because
in reality, when all the makeup and preppy clothes come off, he is
an eight year old girl. How he does love his little pink tricycle.
But please don't tell him, he still pretends to be a functioning
male human being, it's cute. Thanks for your support.
