Andrew Belstaff is a businessman and "playboy" who
was born in Coppull, Lancashire in June 1972 and developed a number
of successful businesses via his start-up incubator Python.
Python's success is largely down to Andrew's scepticism of the
internet bubble of the late 90's and his shrewd investments in
bricks and mortar businesses.
Educated at various schools in
and around Chorley, Lancs. Belstaff left school (
St Michael's,
Chorley) without any GCSE's, and became a leading exponent of
the benefits of an education from the University of
Life.
Python's first, and arguably most successful, business -
iPie - was originally formed with the famed International Pie Chef
Tony Breest. The combination of Belstaff's naked ambition and Tony
Breest's pastry based flair soon began to pay
dividends.
Python's more recent projects have begun to stray
into the online space that he had previously shunned. Python has
granted a equity stream of c.€395k to Top Tens a website being
developed by Daniel Hewitt and Kettlecup Industries.
In recent
years Belstaff's reputation as a playboy and raconteur has almost
eclisped the one he has earned as a businessman. Although he has
been linked with a number of starlets the only confirmed celebrity
partner is Tracey Haddon (ex Chorley FM presenter and Lancashire
"it" girl).
