Andrew Plummer (born
3 October,
1989) is a professional
footballer who is currently signed to
Ipswich Town.
Plummer attended
Stowupland High School for three years while working his way through the Ipswich Academy.
He is currently Ipswich's third choice 'keeper.
Plummer was born in Ipswich but was bought up in Finningham with his parents.
He was spotted by Town scouts while playing for the Suffolk County U13s.
He also received offers from
Norwich City and
Colchester United but he opted to sign for Ipswich Town as he does not wish to go so far from his parents.
Andrew was released by Ipswich during ther 2007/2008 season and tried out at the Glenn Hoddle academy (Jerez, Spain) but unlike former team-mate Curtley Williams, he did not make the grade.
On 19 June 2008 Plummer signed for Bangor in Northern Ireland, who were granted a place in the newly formed Irish FA Premiership after a decade outside the top flight.<ref> </ref>
