Angry Jon is a popular Phoenix, Arizona
based rock n' roll cover band that was formed back in 1997. The
current band members include Jon Lorenc (vocals), Edward
Dalley (bass/vocals), Charlie Sutter
(drums/vocals) and Will Pierce (guitars), and are
perhaps best known for their musical diversity and entertaining
live shows. A "channel-surfing" band, the setlist consists of songs
by artists such as Tool,
Rick James,
Billy Joel,
Rage Against the Machine,
Sublime, Prince, The Beatles, and everything in between.
Asked why he is so angry, lead vocalist Jon Lorenc remarks, "I've
been married twice, have 4 daughters, and started losing hair at
18. You do the math!"
Angry Jon has played well
over 700 gigs since their inception and have even started their own
charity, Angry Against Aids. They have been featured on various
local news and radio shows and have played gigs from Flagstaff,
Arizona to Puerto Penasco, Mexico. The band feels that
the entertainment value is just as important as how the music is
played and sounds.
